What is anesthesiology?

Anesthesiology is a medical specialty that allows patients to undergo surgery without pain, pain and discomfort during surgical interventions. This specialty uses scientific methods called anesthesia to ensure that patients do not lose consciousness or feel pain.

In addition, it supports the stability and comfortable recovery of patients in the pre- and post-operative period. Anesthesiologists (anesthesiologists) determine the anesthesia methods, evaluate the general health status of the patients, administer the anesthetic drugs and ensure the safe operation of the surgery by collaborating with the surgical teams.

The main purpose of anesthesiology is to protect patients from pain and stress during surgery and to help them get through the postoperative period comfortably. Anesthesiology may include different anesthetic techniques such as general anesthesia (where the patient is unconscious), regional anesthesia (where a specific area is numbed), sedation (light numbing). These techniques are determined by the type of surgery, health status and preferences of the patient.
